The mission of the chemical engineering is to provide a broad education in chemical engineering, applied chemistry, physics, biology, materials science, and any related fields and to produce numerous legendary engineering scholars and current leaders in both academia and industry.
The strengths of our program are in:
1) Understanding basic principles in applied chemistry, biology, materials science, and engineering
2) Monitoring current trends in chemical engineering and related fields and engineering activities on developing new materials and processes in industry, and
3) Exploring new research areas in chemical engineering and related fields.
The chemical engineer should be able to understand, develop and organize knowledge in the areas of
1) Physical and chemical transformation of matter
2) Materials processing, and
3) Design and modification of processes, equipment and plant for product and/or material development in chemical and biochemical processing.
